Common App and dual enrollment
Common App is designed for applicants applying to 4-year undergraduate programs and does not support applications for dual enrollment. While some colleges offer Early Action for juniors (grade 11), most students apply in their senior year (grade 12).
Submitting documents across grade 11 and grade 12
Common App resets every new application cycle on August 1. If documents were sent in grade 11 and the student applies again in grade 12:

Applicants can carry over their accounts, college lists, and answers to Common App questions.

Previously submitted forms, recommender invitations, and application submissions do not carry over. New documents must be submitted in the new cycle.
Using Common App with other delivery services
Common App and its integration with eDocs operate independently of other document delivery services (such as Parchment). Using a different process in grade 11 does not restrict a student from using Common App and eDocs in grade 12. Applicants can use Common App at any time.
