Dual enrollment applications

Common App does not support applications for dual enrollment, only applications to a 4-year undergraduate program.

  • If eDocs are sent for students in grade 11, can documents be sent again in grade 12?

    • Common App resets every new application cycle on August 1. Applicants can carry over their accounts, their college list, and common question answers. Any previously submitted forms, recommender invitations, and application submissions are not carried over. New documents have to be submitted if the applicant is applying again in the new cycle.

  • If students apply to a dual enrollment program via a different process, for example, Parchment in grade 11, do they have to stick with that process i.e. Parchment in 12th grade OR they can use CommonApp in Grade 12 once they have used Parchment.

    • Common App and their integration with eDocs are completely independent of other form delivery services. An applicant can use Common App at any time.

  • Can students apply for dual enrollment via Common App in grade 11?

    • The Common App is currently for applicants applying to 4-year undergraduate programs. There are some colleges that offer Early Action for Juniors but I'm not aware of any colleges that use Common App for dual enrollment. Most students are applying in their senior year.
