State-aligned out-of-the-box program templates |
Planner 2.0 introduces State-aligned out-of-the-box program templates, giving districts in Arizona, Mississippi, and Colorado prebuilt, state-aligned programs authored by PowerSchool that can be adopted and customized in minutes, rather than built from scratch. Districts can browse templates by state, preview program details and tasks, and adopt them into their library with one click. When adopted, districts retain full control and can edit the program, customize tasks, assign it to selected schools, and publish to schools and assign it to students. This reduces manual setup effort and helps districts stay aligned with evolving state mandates without rebuilding programs each year. |

Lightcast integration |
Naviance is releasing a new integration with Lightcast, a provider of best-in-class labor market data. All wage-related metrics in the career, sub-cluster, and cluster profiles for staff and student users now come from Lightcast. This new integration will not change any user behavior. The profiles will continue to look and function the same. |

Letter of recommendation request modernization |
Naviance is introducing a modernized letter of recommendation request experience for students and staff. Students can request letters of recommendation from teachers and counselors through a new, streamlined interface and track the status of all requests in one place. Staff will have access to an enhanced recommendation manager that simplifies searching, sorting, and managing recommendation requests. The updated experience includes new request statuses and expanded request details, providing greater visibility into recommendations that are currently in progress. |

Course Planner updates phase 1 |
Naviance is excited to announce the launch of Course Planner Phase 1. This release introduces a completely redesigned user experience for staff on the Subject Areas, Course Catalog, Plans of Study, Area Specializations (formerly Career Pathways), and Configurations pages. In addition, students will now benefit from an entirely new experience throughout their view of Course Planner. Alongside these more visible page updates, this release includes some smaller enhancements, including sortable tables, improved search capabilities, expanded course data visibility, and streamlined workflows for staff and students. Key enhancements include scheduled Publish & Updates and simplified plan and requirement management for staff. Students will have richer plan grid data, with course grades and specializations added for easier visibility, and a more intuitive course selection experience with better prompts and fewer clicks. This release closed out 13 client Ideas from PowerSchool Ideas. Stay tuned for future Course Planner updates coming throughout the second half of 2026. |

Naviance is releasing an improvement to Portfolio in Naviance Student. Work-based learning engagements, if applicable, will now prepopulate and be available for students to add to certain Portfolio entry types. Entries tied to work-based learning engagements will also be available in Resume.
