Course Planner	2026-05-27	Issue	Course planner permission update - Manage & View Course Plans	A bug with the permissions for staff to view Course Plans in Course Planner has been fixed. The permission to View Course Plans wasn’t restricting users from editing course plans properly. We had to fix that permission, and users with the View Course Plan permission will no longer be able to edit student course plans. While updating that permission, we consolidated the school and district versions into a single View Course Plans permission. We also consolidated and renamed the Add/edit course plans permission to Manage Course Plans. No action needs to be taken by users who already had the View Course Plans or Add edit course plans permissions previously.
Work-based learning	May 27, 2026	Enhancement	Work-based learning documents and student detail page	Naviance is releasing a new document‑upload capability within Work‑Based Learning that allows users to attach files to Contacts, Organizations, Opportunities, and Engagements. This enhancement transforms Naviance Work‑Based Learning into a true one‑stop shop by centralizing document management, reducing manual tracking, and minimizing reliance on external tools such as email. Staff, students, and partners will be able to easily upload and share everything from contracts to applications to timesheets in a single location. Staff and partners will be able to upload or delete documents to Contact, Organizations, and Opportunities. Students, staff, and partners will be able to upload or delete documents to individual student engagements. No changes need to be made to student optional features to enable engagement documents. Staff with the Manage Work-Based Learning permission will be able to upload documents with no change required. For staff who can only view Work-Based Learning, a new View Work-Based Learning Documents permission must be assigned to users who should only view documents, not manage them. As part of these updates, a new Student Detail page has been added to the Staff experience. This page is accessible by clicking the student name on the Student Engagement or Hours dashboard. This new Detail page shows an individual student’s engagements and submitted hours on a single table, similar to what is already available in Reports.
