Data integrations	November 27, 2025	Enhancement	PS SIS staff integration: Exclude roles from deactivation	We’ve added more flexibility to the PowerSchool SIS staff integration. When the option Make Naviance records inactive if not in SIS is enabled, you can now exclude specific roles from deactivation. This enhancement gives clients the ability to: Retain certain staff users in Naviance even if they are not listed in the SIS. Maintain key roles outside of the SIS for special use cases. Gain greater control and customization of staff management.
Data import	November 21, 2025	Enhancement	Real-time processing for district imports	District imports have been enhanced to support real-time processing, eliminating the previous dependency on overnight batch jobs. This update significantly improves the responsiveness and efficiency of the import workflow, especially for large files. This enhancement streamlines the import experience for users, reduces waiting times, and improves data freshness across the platform.
eDocs	November 20, 2025	Enhancement	New multiple transcript manager	We are excited to announce a new multiple transcript manager with the following features: Ability to upload transcripts for grades 6 to 12 and alumni Increased file size limit from 14 MB to 50 MB Support for bulk PDF and XML uploads Options to review matched transcripts, assign unmatched transcripts, and add them to eDocs Upload history detailing transcript type, class year, dates, and number of transcripts added to eDocs Updated, modern user interface
Data integrations	November 11, 2025	Enhancement	New student integration sync setting: Include Only Mapped Schools in Logfile	Districts now have an additional rule: Include only mapped schools in the logfile. When enabled, this setting ensures that only records from schools mapped in the student integration are included in the logfile. This impacts PowerSchool SIS and Clever student integration. Default: Unchecked Action Required: Districts that need this functionality must manually enable the setting.
eDocs	November 11, 2025	Enhancement	AI letters of recommendation for counselors	We’re expanding the AI Letters of Recommendation tool to support counselors building on the successful teacher launch. Counselors can now write letters directly in Naviance, with or without AI help, using rich student data like academics, strengths, portfolios, and resumes. No more copy-pasting or external uploads. All work stays secure within Naviance, allowing for faster, smarter, and more personalized recommendations.
College planning	November 6, 2025	Enhancement	Outside letters of recommendation - Early access	We are excited to announce early access for Outside letters of recommendation. Access it via the Early Access page for schools and districts by going to Setup and selecting Early Access. If Early Access is enabled, schools must activate this feature for students by navigating to Connections, Naviance Student, and then selecting Select and Update Optional Features. Key features include: Students can request outside letters of recommendation for non-Common App colleges through Naviance Student. For Common App colleges, students will be redirected to the Common App site. Outside recommenders receive an email with the application deadline and the college’s mailing address to mail the letter directly. A record of outside recommendation requests is maintained for students, including the status of emails sent to outside recommenders.
