Staff Dashboard

Introduction

The staff dashboard is designed to help the staff access essential information quickly and efficiently.

This dashboard is available for staff on the school page. The school name and username are displayed on the dashboard. This dashboard offers insights into critical data points through customizable widgets, allowing you to quickly access essential information without navigating to multiple pages. You can rearrange the widgets to match your preferences and choose to hide or unhide them as needed.

Note: The data in the widgets is updated every 15 minutes.

Explore the new dashboard by clicking the Try Now button. You can switch back to the current homepage at any time using the Use Existing Homepage button.

Search student

This widget allows you to search for students by their last name.

1. Select a Class/Grade from the drop-down list or choose All classes/grades.

2. Enter the student’s last name.

3. Click Search.

Career exploration

This widget displays the number of students with favorite careers, military branches, and clusters/pathways.

• For the selected class, choose the careers or career cluster pathways from the drop-down list to get insights.

Self-discovery assessment

This widget displays the top five Self-discovery assessments of students' strengths, interests, and personality traits for the selected class. These assessments provide insights that can guide students in their academic and career planning.

• Select a class and grade to review Self-discovery assessments.

Student path

This widget provides details on the student path, showing the activities your students are involved in within the student path. The student path outcomes help you understand students’ chosen primary and secondary paths.

Select the class/grade to check the student path outcome as per the student primary path. This Reviews planned and reported post-secondary outcome data by student.

Application summary

The application summary displays how many application requests have been sent to staff. This widget displays information on the following areas:

• New Applications added in the last 30 days.

• Applications Due in the next 7 days.

• Number of Students Not Matched with any applications.

Select a class and grade to review the application summary, including the number of pending applications.

Transcript requests

Transcript requests in Naviance allow students to request their academic transcripts to be sent to colleges and universities. You can review transcript requests for the selected class and grade.

• Select a class and grade to review the number of transcripts submitted by students.

Favorited reports

Your favorite reports are those you have marked with a heart icon. Each report has an icon to mark it as a favorite. Once you refresh the page, the top five favorite reports are displayed under this widget on the dashboard.

Tasks

This widget allows you to manage and track tasks assigned to students.

Select a class and grade to review the status of tasks assigned:

• Tasks by due dates.

• Tasks that are pending or have upcoming due dates.

• Tasks by grades.

Class of (year) snapshot

This widget displays the number of students who have submitted applications, the percentage attending colleges, and the types of applications submitted. The default view displays students with submitted applications, and you can filter students attending colleges.

• For the selected class, choose the snapshot from the drop-down list.

Student usage report

This widget provides valuable insights into student usage patterns. You can track the number of students who logged into the application or yet to log into the application. You can view student usage per month.

• Select a class, grade and month to review the student logins.

Announcements

Announcements lists product updates including releases, upcoming webinars, new features, and enhancements.

Demo Naviance student

This widget takes you to the demo on Naviance for students.

Customize dashboard

You can customize the arrangement of widgets to suit your preferences and choose to hide or unhide them as needed.

1. Click on the More options (three dots menu) and select Customize dashboard.

2. Use the Hide or Unhide button to show or hide a widget.

3. To change the position of a widget, drag and move it to your desired location.
