PowerBuddy for Staff: Talk to Your Data is an AI‑powered assistant within Naviance that helps staff quickly find the right reports, interpret data, and take actions — all through natural, conversational questions.
This feature removes the need to search through menus or manually analyze downloaded reports. Staff asks questions, and PowerBuddy surfaces insights instantly.
To use Talk to Your Data, users must have the Administer PowerBuddy Settings permission assigned to their user role, and PowerBuddy for Staff must be enabled.
Quickly find relevant reports
PowerBuddy identifies and surfaces the most relevant reports based on your question — no manual searching required.
Examples:

Talk to a downloaded report
After a staff member downloads a report, they can have a natural conversation about it:

Analyze any downloaded report
After downloading a report, click Analyze and start asking questions.

Take actions within PowerBuddy
Available actions include:

Favoriting a report directly from the chat

Navigating to the corresponding page in Naviance by selecting the report name

The assistant eliminates back‑and‑forth clicks, manual data review, and time spent trying to find the right page.
Switch report context
If PowerBuddy is referencing the wrong report, choose a suggested prompt or ask to talk about a different report.
