Manual Data Imports
Overview
Manually import data using the manual Data Import or Data Import New tools in Naviance.
Data Import
Depending on your Naviance subscription, the following data may be available to import using the Data Import feature in a school or district-level account.
District Imports
To add data for all schools in your district, import data from your district-level Naviance account. All imports from Naviance for Districts are queued for overnight processing.

| Student records | Use to create student accounts and populate student folders with demographic and academic data. |
| Parent records | Use to add information about parents and guardians to existing student records. |
| Test scores | Use to add test scores to the student folder. Import standard score file formats from the College Board and ACT Inc. or delimited text files with scores including:
International Baccalaureate, TOEFEL, SSAT, HSPT, ISEE, and Terra Nova scores can be manually added student by student and may require additional setup.
Use Data Import New to import additional test scores.

| District Course Catalog | Use to import the school's course catalog, including descriptions and prerequisites to populate the Courses section of Naviance and to facilitate creating plans of study. Requires a Course Planner subscription. |
| District Course Mapping | Use to map courses to multiple schools within a district so student course selections can be customized by school. |
| Student Course Data | Use to import the courses students have taken or are currently enrolled in, their grades, and related information for use in Course Planning. Requires a Course Planner or Naviance Insights Premium subscription. |
School Imports
To import data for only staff or students at your school, import data from your school-level.

| Add parent data for existing students | Use to add information about parents and guardians to existing student records. |

| Add test scores for existing students | Use to add test scores to the student folder. Import standard score file formats from the College Board and ACT Inc. or delimited text files with scores including:

| Add college application data for existing students | Use to add application data to the Colleges section of the student folder including to which colleges a student has applied, the type and result of each application, and other details. |
| Import teacher list | Use to import a list of teachers to expedite the process of creating teacher user accounts and to track teacher recommendations. |
| Add National Student Clearinghouse®(NSC) data | Use to import post-secondary outcomes for alumni, including college attendance, type of institution, post-secondary graduation rate, and other information. Import files in the standard format from the NSC.
If you have Naviance Alumni Tracker®, you can send and receive alumni data from the NSC directly from Naviance.

Download the data import templates from the Naviance Knowledge Base in the PowerSchool Community. Select PowerSchool Community from the Get Help menu in Naviance to access the Community,
