PowerSchool Data Integration

Overview

Use PowerSchool Data Integration in Naviance to pull data directly from your PowerSchool student information system (SIS) or your eSchoolPlus SIS into Naviance, ensuring that data in Naviance is correct via turnkey data management.

If you are a new Naviance user, complete the integration setup before importing data in Naviance.

PowerSchool Data Integration is a district-level feature. If you have a school account, contact Naviance Support to get a district account.

Set up Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) to use single sign-on (SSO) with PowerSchool Data Integration.

If you are a Clever user that takes advantage of PowerSchool Data Integration for staff or students, you cannot sync staff or student data with Clever. However, you can continue to use Clever for single sign-on (SSO)

1. To set up the Clever SSO experience, create a SAML connection in Naviance and then use the External Link feature in Clever to add Naviance.
2. To retrieve the Naviance link needed for the Clever external link feature, set up student SAML and retrieve the Bookmark URL.

Data Import Types

Student Data

The Student Records import integrates all your current and alumni student records from PowerSchool SIS or eSchoolPlus SIS to Naviance.

• Data flow is one-way. Student data flows from your SIS to Naviance.
• Keep your student records up to date with automatic imports at a frequency of 4, 12, or 24 hours.
• Import up to eight years of alumni student records using Student Records (Alumni) to support Naviance Alumni Tracker.

Staff Data

The Staff Records import integrates all your district and school staff records from PowerSchool SIS to Naviance.

• Data flow is one-way. Staff data flows from your PowerSchool SIS to Naviance.
• Keep your student records up to date with automatic imports at a frequency of 4, 12, or 24 hours.

Course Data

Course-related imports let you keep all course planning records up to date by integrating records from your PowerSchool SIS into Naviance.

Course integration is available for PowerSchool SIS users with a Course Planner or Naviance Insights Premium subscription.
