Applications Menu

Introduction

PowerSchool Enrollment supports the PowerSchool Applications menu, third-party identity provider (IdP) single sign-on (SSO), PowerSchool SIS IdP SSO, and, together, SSO through the PowerSchool Applications menu with either a third-party IdP or PowerSchool SIS as the IdP.

Applications Menu 

PowerSchool Enrollment supports the PowerSchool Applications menu. Given your school/district has more than one PowerSchool product (including Enrollment) using the PowerSchool Applications menu, your administrative users can navigate between their PowerSchool products using the PowerSchool Applications menu.

Applications Menu SSO

Through the combination of the PowerSchool Applications menu and third-party IdP SSO, PowerSchool Enrollment supports SSO authentication for school/district administrative users through the PowerSchool Applications menu, enabling administrative users to seamlessly authenticate into Enrollment through the PowerSchool Applications menu from another PowerSchool product using third-party IdP SSO.

Through the combination of the PowerSchool Applications menu and PowerSchool SIS IdP SSO, PowerSchool Enrollment supports SSO authentication for school/district administrative users through the PowerSchool Applications menu, enabling administrative users to seamlessly authenticate into Enrollment through the PowerSchool Applications menu from another PowerSchool product using PowerSchool SIS IdP SSO.

Configure the Applications Menu

PowerSchool Support is responsible for configuring the PowerSchool Applications menu within each individual PowerSchool product. In order for the PowerSchool Applications menu to appear within any PowerSchool product, the PowerSchool Applications menu must be configured within at least two or more of your PowerSchool products.

Configure the Applications Menu with Third-Party IdP SSO

Configure the Applications Menu with PowerSchool SIS IdP SSO

The following steps must be taken to configure the PowerSchool Applications menu with PowerSchool SIS IdP SSO:

Work with the Applications Menu

You can navigate between your PowerSchool products using the PowerSchool Applications menu.

Without SSO

If not using third-party IdP SSO or PowerSchool SIS IdP SSO, and if not already signed into the target product, you will be required to sign in to your account for that product.

1. From the header bar, click Applications.

2. Select an application. The application launches in a separate tab or window depending on your browser settings. If you are not already signed into the product, you will be required to sign in. If you are already signed into the product you will be brought into your account.

With SSO

If using third-party IdP SSO or PowerSchool SIS IdP SSO with PowerSchool Enrollment, you can authenticate into your PowerSchool Enrollment from your other PowerSchool products using the PowerSchool Applications menu.

1. From the header bar, click Applications.

2. Select an application. The application launches in a separate tab or window depending on your browser settings, and you are brought into your linked account within the selected application.
