Run the Lottery

After you import Submission records, you can process them through the lottery. The lottery process randomly assigns the imported student records to seated lists and waitlists.

  1. In the School Choice workspace tools section, click Process Records.
  2. Review eligible records on the Process Records page.
  3. Click Process Records.
  4. Click Close.
  5. Select the Back link to return to the School Choice Workspace.
  6. Verify the seat assignments:
    1. In the Students section, select the Processed link.
    2. Locate the record that was processed.
    3. The assigned school, grade level, and seated status appear in the Seat Assignment(s) or Waitlist Assignment(s) column.
  7. Select the Back link to return to the School Choice Workspace.

Next, you can manage seating assignments, communicate lottery results to parents, or transfer the results back to the Submission workspace.
