Restraint & Time Out

If an incident occurs that warrants restraint and/or time out, you can submit an entry detailing the occurrence. Once submitted, the entry appears on the school administrator's Restraint & Time Out dashboard. If you need to edit or delete the entry, contact your school administrator for assistance.

Only applicable if enabled by your district.

  1. Click the Student Information (backpack) icon next to the class you want to work with.
  2. Click the last name of the student you want to work with.
  3. Choose Restraint & Time Out from the Select screens pop-up menu.
  4. Click New.
  5. Use the table to enter information in the following fields:



    Occurrence Date

    Enter the date of the occurrence.

    Defaults to today's date. Date cannot be a future date.

    Occurrence Start Time

    Enter the time the occurrence started.

    Occurrence End Time

    Enter the time the occurrence ended.

    End time cannot be before start time.

    Event Type

    Indicate the type of event:

    • Time Out
    • Isolated Time Out
    • Physical Restraint
    • Mechanical restraint
    • Seclusion
    NotesEnter additional information, if needed.
  6. Click Submit.
