Buckets Overview (Manage)
Buckets are collections of accounts grouped according to rules and filters. Buckets can be based on Expenditures, Revenue, or a combination of Revenue and Expenditure Accounts. You must choose one when creating the bucket.
You may also upload Frequently Asked Questions for each Bucket.
Explanation of Fields- Buckets in Manage
Field Name | Description | Format | Example |

Name Required | The name of the Bucket. Must be unique with personnel/non-personnel | Characters | Title 1 |
Code Required | A unique identifier for this Bucket | Characters | 123abc |
Type Required | Indicate if the bucket is for expenditure, revenue, or expenditure and revenue | Characters | expenditure |
Description | Brief 100 character description of the bucket's purpose | Characters | Funds provided from the Federal Government for low-income students |
Segment Type | A segment type from your chart of accounts that you wish to scope the bucket to | Characters | fund/object/program/function/etc. |
Operator | How you want to match account codes within the given segment type | Characters | equals/not equals/range includes/range does not include/starts with/does not start with |
Segment Code | The code(s) you want to match against. For ranges use `-` in between the codes. | Characters | fund equals 10029, object range includes 1-999, function starts with 70 |
Roles | The names of Roles you want to see this bucket. Comma separated | Characters | Principal,Bookkeeper,Superintendent,Department Head |
Rollup Widget Template | The Rollup Widget Template you wish to use to rollup accounts | Characters | Central Office Account Summary |
Question 1 | Frequently asked question #1 relevant to this bucket. Must be in quotes with a limit of 150 characters. | Characters | "What important things should I look for?" |
