Allovue Data Requirements

Allovue Data Requirements Background:

Allovue Manage is a read-only platform. Data in Allovue Manage is imported by the organization’s ERP on a nightly or hourly basis.

• Districts that choose to send Allovue data on a nightly or hourly basis will need to supply the correct data elements required for a Manage integration.

• Districts that choose to provide flat files via SFTP will be responsible for maintaining any scheduled mechanisms to provide Allovue with the required data elements on a nightly or hourly basis.

Format

Data provided to Allovue should be sent nightly via SFTP hosted and provided by Allovue. Files should be formatted in the following manner:

• All files should be in pipe-separated variable format (“|” pipe). These files can be saved with a .txt or .csv extension.

• If pipe-separated data is not available, CSV or Microsoft Excel (XLSX) are also possible.

• All data sets should have headers with the appropriate internal names of each attribute.

• Any special characters should be properly quoted or escaped to ensure readability of the resulting files.

• File names should be named for the entity, with underscores (_), all lower case, and contain any date elements required.
