School Locator Properties

Field Name

Enter a unique name for your form field.

School Locator Dataset

Select the School Locator dataset.

Relaxed Location Type Acceptance

This setting is shown when a Polygon dataset is selected.

Allows for a lower level of accuracy in the Location Type output from the Google Maps Geocoding API when verifying an address, resulting in a greater percentage of addresses being verified and zoned schools being determined. Works in conjunction with the Relaxed Result Type Acceptance option.

Relaxed Result Type Acceptance

This setting is shown when a Polygon dataset is selected.

Allows for a lower level of accuracy in the Result Type output from the Google Maps Geocoding API when verifying an address, resulting in a greater percentage of addresses being verified and zoned school being determined. Works in conjunction with the Relaxed Location Type Acceptance option.

Use Address Validation

Address Validation presents address formatting and correction changes to the parent for their review and agreement if the address they provided is not deemed valid. 

Show First School

If an address and grade combination results in more than one possible zoned school, the student will automatically be assigned to the first school returned.

Show All Options

If an address and grade combination results in more than one possible zoned school, the parent is presented with each option.

Show “No Zoned School”

If an address and grade combination results in more than one possible zoned school, the student will be determined to have no zoned school.

Allow Parent To Select From Results

Allows parents to select from the list of zoned schools.

Show Parent The Read-Only Results

Allows the parent to see up to two zoned schools for informational purposes but not select between them. This requires a second set of Zoned School fields.

School Read-Only Unless Address Changed

Allows the School Name field to be pre-populated and read-only, but if the parent indicates a change of address, it allows the parent to select from the list of zoned schools.

Grade

Select the pre-configured grade form field. This form field should be a Dropdown element containing a list of grades available to students.

Street

Select the pre-configured street form field.

Apt/Unit

Select the pre-configured apt/unit or second address line form field.

City

Select the pre-configured city form field.

State (US1/US2)

Province (Parent Fields) (CAN)

Select the pre-configured state or province form field.

Zip Code (US1/US2)

Postal Code (CAN)

Select the pre-configured zip or postal code form field.

Country (CAN)

Select the pre-configured country form field. This property is only applicable in the Canadian environment.

This property can be configured to hold a country list that will be included as part of the address. If no country is specified, the property will default to sending Canada as the country.

Address Change Indicator

Select the pre-configured address change form field.

Address Verified Indicator

Field mapped to Address Verified data output where the returned indicator values are:

• “Yes” when the school address is verified.

• “No” when the school address is not verified.

In District Indicator

Field mapped to In District data output where the returned indicator values are:

• “Yes” when the student is in the district.

• “No” when the student is out of the district.

Zoned School Indicator

Field mapped to Zoned School data output where the returned indicator values are:

• “Yes” when the student is zoned for a school.

• “No” when the student is not zoned for a school.

Zoned School

ID

Zoned School ID. Select the pre-configured ID field to populate with the ID of the school when the address has been successfully zoned.

Name

Zoned School Name. Select the pre-configured school field to populate with the name of the school when the address has been successfully zoned.

Address

Zoned School Address. Select the pre-configured address field to populate with the address of the school when the address has been successfully zoned.

Phone

Zoned School Phone. Select the pre-configured phone field to populate with the phone number of the school when the address has been successfully zoned.

Grades

Zoned School Grades. Select the pre-configured grades field to populate with the grades of the school when the address has been successfully zoned.

Website

Zoned School Website. Select the pre-configured website field to populate with the website of the school when the address has been successfully zoned.

Email Address

Zoned School Email Address. Select the pre-configured email address field to populate with the email address of the school when the address has been successfully zoned.

Comments

Zoned School Comments. Select the pre-configured comment field to populate with the comment of the school when the address has been successfully zoned.

Zoned School 2

This field and other Zoned School 2 fields are shown only when Allow Parent To Select From Results is enabled.

Street

Mapped to Verified Street data output. Select the pre-configured Street field to populate with the street of the verified address when the address is returned.
