Track Surveys

Monitor survey responses for groups of students

Survey completion

Generate a list of students who have or have not completed a survey.

  1. Navigate to Students and select Student Search.
  2. Select the Grades/Classes.
  3. From Survey, choose a survey from the list and select not completed or completed.
  4. Click Find Students.

Survey response summary

Track survey responses and completion.

  1. Navigate to Connections and select Surveys.
  2. From the Results column of the Surveys page, choose View for the selected survey.
  3. Review the results.
  4. Optionally, click:
    • View Details.
    • Print.
    • Export to download the results in a ZIP file containing a CSV file for each grade level selected.

Survey responses for college applications and scholarships

Review responses held to display and edit the responses in the student folder and include responses in reports.

College applications

  1. Navigate to Connections and select Surveys.
  2. Select Responses: College Applications.
  3. From the Review and Accept College application Changes from a Survey page, select:
    • Ignore to omit the response from the student's record.
    • The application result from the list.
    • Waitlisted, Deferred, Attending, Final Transcript, or Never Applied to update the application status.
    • Mark as reviewed to move the responses to the student folder.
  4. Click Submit and Continue.

Scholarships

  1. Navigate to Connections and select Surveys.
  2. Select Responses: Scholarships.

    he Review and Accept Changes to Student Scholarships section only displays responses from a custom survey when Hold responses for review is selected for the built-in scholarship question.

  3. Optionally, from the Response page, select:

    • Ignore to remove the scholarship from the student's record.
    • Amount to update the award amount.
    • Not Awarded to indicate the scholarship was not awarded.
    • Never Applied to indicate the student did not apply for the scholarship.
    • Mark as reviewed to move the responses to the student folder.
  4. Click Submit and Continue.

Monitor survey task completion

Use a report to track the completion of surveys assigned as a task.

  • All reports are available in both Naviance and Naviance District Edition.
  • District-level reports populate with data for all schools in the district.
  • District-level task completion reports populate with data for district-level tasks. They do not populate with data for school-level tasks.

From Naviance, navigate to Analytics, select Reports 3.0, then choose a report.

Monitor survey responses for a student

Review individual student responses for assigned surveys or tasks from the student's folder.

Assigned surveys

  1. Navigate to the student folder.
  2. Select Surveys to display a list of surveys assigned to the student, including the survey status.
  3. Select Surveys or Retired Surveys depending on the feature used to create the survey.

    Go to Surveys to find Game Plan and Graduation survey responses for students who took those surveys before the start of the 21-22 school year.
  4. Choose Responses for the selected survey, if available.

  5. Review the responses.

  6. Optionally, choose:

    • Edit responses.

    • Delete responses.

    • Re-open a survey for the student to retake.

      You cannot review individual student responses for anonymous surveys from the student folder

Assigned survey tasks

  1. Navigate to the student folder.
  2. Select Success Plan and then select Tasks.
  3. Choose view details for the selected task.
