Naviance integration

Overview

The Naviance integration lets you use the rostering methods already available in Naviance to roster users to the elementary site. Data for K-5 students and staff members associated with the district or elementary schools in the district will flow through to your elementary site.

With the integration enabled:

  • Students and staff use the same login method for Naviance for Elementary and Naviance 6–12.

  • Staff can access key Naviance for Elementary student data directly from the Naviance student folder.

Elementary user access levels

There are four access types within Naviance for Elementary

  • User: Includes no special privileges or permissions. This is the access type students will have.

  • Manager: Can access and manage students assigned to them through groups.

  • School administrator: Can access and manage all student and staff users associated with their school.

  • Administrator: Can access and manage all users in the system.

When using the integration, the access level for staff in the elementary site will depend on the job function associated with their profile in the secondary district.
