A profile is a collection of permissions that determines what data the users assigned to a profile can see, and what the users can do with the data. Profiles are defined on a form-by-form basis providing you with greater control over user access. Users are assigned profiles to simplify the process of assigning and modifying permissions. 

To manage profiles, choose Student Data from the main menu, click More (...) on the desired form, then select Account Permissions

Create a Profile

  1. Click Add Profile in the Profiles section.
  2. Enter a unique title.
  3. Click Save.
  4. On the Profile page, update general and tab-specific settings to configure permissions settings.

  5. Select Return to Permissions & Profiles.

Edit a Profile

  1. Select Edit next to the profile in the Profiles section.
  2. Set the necessary profile permissions.
  3. Select Return to Permissions & Profiles.

Delete a Profile

  1. In the Profiles section, select Delete next to the profile you want to delete.
  2. Click OK to confirm the deletion.

Import or Export a Profile

Use the import feature to import profile data from a comma-separated value (CSV) file into the PowerSchool Enrollment application. Use the export feature to export the data.

  1. To import a profile:
    1. Click Choose File in the Import/Export Profiles section.
    2. Select the file and click Open.
    3. Click Import.
  2. To export current profiles, click Export Profiles in the Import/Export Profiles section. A comma-separated value (CSV) file is downloaded through your browser.
