Student Maintenance: Transportation

Overview

Transportation is the fifth of seven accordion bars on the Demographics page in Student Maintenance. You'll enter and edit all of a single student's Transportation information here. Select a Mode of Transportation from the picklist (controlled in Core Trillium) and Click Save. Most modes of Transportation (e.g. Bus, Car) will cause additional fields to appear, some of which may be mandatory.

Field Descriptors

Mode of Transportation	The student’s mode of transportation is displayed. The selection list is visible if you have update privileges. The selections in the picklist are the values from the Transportation validation table where the Active flag is ON and blank. Blank is the default value. The field is not mandatory.
Parking Information – Modes of Transportation with Vehicle selected on the Transportation validation table will prompt the following fields.
Car License No	The student‘s car license number is displayed. The field is editable if you have update privileges. Alphanumeric text field with a maximum of 10 characters. The field is not mandatory. The field is empty by default.
Parking Permit No	The student’s parking permit number is displayed. The field is editable if you have update privileges. Alphanumeric text field with a maximum of 10 characters. The field is not mandatory. The field is empty by default.
Parking Space No	The student’s parking space number is displayed. The field is editable if you have update privileges. Alphanumeric text field with a maximum of 10 characters. The field is not mandatory. The field is empty by default.
Parking Information – Modes of Transportation with Public Transit selected on the Transportation validation table will prompt the following fields.
Pass No	The student’s public transit pass number is displayed. The field is editable if you have update privileges. Alphanumeric text field with a maximum of 15 characters. The field is not mandatory. The field is empty by default.
Expiry Date	The student’s public transit expiry date is displayed. The field is editable if you have update privileges. If the field is editable, on click the date picker opens. The field is not mandatory. The field is empty by default.
Parking Information – Modes of Transportation with School Bus selected on the Transportation validation table will prompt the following fields.

Select/Deselect	Visible if you have update privileges.
Type	The student’s pick up or drop off is displayed. The field is editable if the user has update privileges. The field is mandatory. The field is empty by default.
Route	The student’s bus route pick up or drop off is displayed. The field is editable if you have update privileges. A picxlist with values from the School Bus Routes validation table where the End Date field is empty. The field is mandatory. The field is empty by default.
Company	A field displaying the Company associated to the Route on the School Bus Routes validation table. If there is no Company associated to the Route, the field will be blank.
Stop Time	The bus stop time is displayed in the standard military time format HH:MM. The field is editable if you have update privileges. The field is not mandatory The field is empty by default.
Remark	The bus stop remarks are displayed. The field is editable if you have update privileges. The field accepts a maximum 250 alphanumeric characters The field is not mandatory The field is empty by default
Bus Stop	The bus stop is displayed. The field is editable if you have update privileges. The field accepts a maximum 60 alphanumeric characters The field is not mandatory The field is empty by default
Command Buttons
Save	The button is visible if you have update privileges.
Add	The button is visible if you have update privileges..
Delete	The button is visible if you have update privileges.
