PowerSchool Ecollect Forms/Enrollment Express version 24.12.0.0 will be available as of 12/15/2024.

New Feature

Product Area

Description

Admin - Locale Management

School and district administrators can now leverage PowerSchool SIS locales within Enrollment Express/Ecollect Forms.

A new configuration option is available in the menu path: System Management - Forms - Configure Form Languages. Administrators can map the languages defined in Configure Form Languages to PowerSchool SIS Locales defined in the menu path: System - Localization - System Locales.

After submission, the system will check for duplicates and ensure each Enrollment Express/Ecollect Forms language is mapped to a unique PowerSchool SIS locale. After validation, a one-time migration process will link existing dynamic translations within forms to the mapped PowerSchool SIS locales. This migration is irreversible. All dynamic form translations will be linked to their respective PowerSchool SIS locales when completed.

Post-migration, administrators can select PowerSchool SIS locales in the Form Builder and across various product pages to configure dynamic translations.

For responders, such as parents accessing forms via the PowerSchool SIS parent portal, the form list and individual form response pages will automatically display in the user's logged-in locale if dynamic translations are configured. If not, the default PowerSchool SIS locale will be used. The form will display the content added in the form builder element if neither is configured. These conditions also apply to Pre-Registration forms.

When parents access forms via MyPowerHub:

  • If there is an exact match for locale and country between MyPowerHub and PowerSchool SIS, and dynamic translations are configured for the same locale in PowerSchool SIS, the dynamic form is displayed to parents in the matching locale.

  • If there is an exact match for locale but not for country between MyPowerHub and PowerSchool SIS, and dynamic translations are configured for the same locale but different country codes in PowerSchool SIS, the dynamic form translation in the next best match locale is displayed to parents.

  • If there is no match for locale or country code, the form is displayed in the default PowerSchool SIS locale if translations are configured for the default PowerSchool SIS locale. The form displays the content added in the form builder element if no translations are configured.

These changes also apply to school and district administrators and teachers when viewing form responses.

  • Mapping Form languages to PowerSchool SIS locales is mandatory to enable this feature. Additionally, The migration process is irreversible, and access to the menu path: System Management - Forms - Configure Form Languages will be removed after successful migration.

  • Without performing a mapping operation, the system will continue using the language settings of the previous forms without changing the current behavior.

Enhancements

Product Area

Description

Internationalization - Hijri Dates

To accommodate diverse cultural and regional needs, Enrollment Express/Ecollect Forms now offer the option to display Hijri dates in various areas of the product, such as Edit Pre-Registration Reports, Form List, Form Response, and Student Support Plan. This enhancement ensures users can view dates in the Hijri Date format alongside the current Gregorian Date.

Note that the Hijri Dates will be automatically available when the following configurations are enabled in PowerSchool SIS:

  • The Hijri dates to accompany Gregorian dates option is enabled in the Manage Profile - Interface menu.

  • The Hijri calendar system is selected in the System - Localization - System Locales for the logged-in user's language.

Internationalization - Icons

To accommodate cultural and regional needs, several visual elements, such as icons and graphics within Enrollment Express/Ecollect Forms, have been updated to be more meaningful for international regions. These improvements include updating icons for:

  • Edit, Delete, New Forms, and Form reports in Manage Forms.

  • Form Builder elements like Cloud Document Attachment, Contact Element, Event Calendar, Race Element, Section Break Element, SIS Document Attachment, and Text Block Element.
