Compose Your Message
This feature is available with an Advanced Awareness for Majors Subscription. Complete this form to get more information.
Manage and compose custom messages to share in Naviance Student with students who are interested in your competitors or in majors offered by your institution.
Competitor Messages
From the Intersect homepage, navigate to the Advanced Awareness tile and click Configure.
From Compose Your Messages, select Competitors.
Select a message option for each competitor and enter your messages. Messages have a 280-character limit. Review the message options table for more details.
Click SAVE.
All competitors are selected to display without a message by default.
Message options
Message | Details |

Display without message | No message displays. Your institution is listed as a match for students based on their interest in one or more of your competitors. |
Show same message to all audiences | Use a standard message for all students regardless of audience. Your institution is listed as a match for students based on their interest in one or more of your competitors, along with your message. |
Differentiate message per audience | Compose a unique message per audience. Your institution is listed as a match for students based on their interest in one or more of your competitors, along with your customized message for that audience. |
Major Messages
All majors are imported from IPEDS or shared with Intersect by your institution. To update your institution's majors, contact the Intersect Support Team.
From the Intersect homepage, navigate to the Advanced Awareness tile and click Configure.
From Compose Your Messages, select Majors.
Choose a major category.
Select a message option for each major and enter your messages. Messages have a 280-character limit. Review the message options table for more details.
Display without message is selected by default for all major categories.Click SAVE.
