Once your user name and password are entered, our application retrieves your security settings and give you access to all your students and courses.

  1. If you teach in more than one school, the Schools list the top becomes a drop-down list for you to pick a building;
  2. Select the Report Period (above, left) and Course/Section (above, right) from their respective drop-down lists;
  3. Students are listed alphabetically at left. If you have more than 14 in your Class, click on the 15-28 link to jump to the next group of students. Click the one you want to work on.
  4. Click in the Mark field and enter the desired numeric value. (Click Tab to navigate to the next field on the right to complete data entry all the way to the last Learning Skill.)

  5. If the School Using Period Attendance preference is activated in the Preferences > School Academic window in Core Trillium the Abs and Late fields will be read-only. Otherwise, enter the appropriate value in these fields.

  6. There are checkbox fields to identify special flags, such as IEP, French, SHSM and Interview. There is also a drop-down list for Delivery Mode. Choices made in Course Setup and Core Trillium dictate whether these are read-only. Adjust the choices correctly if they are open to you.

    • Note: If you have rights to override these choices; once overridden, any future regeneration of Achievement information will not update that information.
    • Note 2:The SHSM checkbox is selected by the application. Once the course is finished, the checkbox will be set based on the SHSM earned credit value (set on if SHSM credit is greater than zero). Prior to the course being finished, the checkbox will be set on for SHSM students if the course matches a course listed in the SHSM validation table for the student’s specific major. The student’s SHSM start/earned/dropped dates will be referenced to verify the student is participating in the SHSM at the end of the report period date range OR on the student’s Departure Date (last attendance taking day).

7. Learning Skills can be entered by selecting an option from the dropdown list, or by typing the appropriate value in each skill.  Options include: E – Excellent, G – Good, S – Satisfactory, N – Needs Improvement
