Achievement Comment Entry

TWebCE: We made modifications to support the coming additional student genders, when entering comments with pronouns. The new pronouns will be available in the Core Trillium 4.10.00 release.

Correspondence/Self-Study/e-Learning Register

TWebCE: The Ministry has clarified that the population of the Sep-Jun and Summer fields on the Correspondence/Self Study register's Pupil summary and detail pages should be based on the Student's Start Date in the Course, not the Start Date for the Course/Class. Therefore, it's possible that both the Sep-Jun and Summer fields will hold data, but an individual student will only be counted under one or the other.

However, the summary's  Course data section will continue to be based on the Course's Start Date, and only the Sep-Jun OR Summer fields will be populated.

Correspondence/Self-Study/e-Learning Register

TWebCE: We modified the Register to exclude Part Time students' lessons when the student is taking the same Course at any day school within the Board at the same time. In this scenario, the number of funded lessons for the student will be displayed as zero on the Register. Courses are compared using five characters of the Course Code.

Course List for Grant Purposes

TWebCE: When Con Ed. Registers are generated, we populate temporary tables with info to be used on the Registers, plus the Course List for Grant Purposes spreadsheet. Our temporary table has separate columns for the number of males/females in each Course. On the Register, we print a single value, by totaling those two. In anticipation of the coming additional gender values: When updating those tables, any X or N genders will be included into the male count. We'll change that if the Ministry decides the Register should list all four gender values.

Literacy/Numeracy for Parents Register

TWebCE: The Ministry has clarified that the population of the Sep-Jun and Summer fields on the Literacy/Numeracy for Parents Register's Pupil summary and detail pages should be based on the Parent's Start Date in the Course, not the Start Date for the Course/Class. Therefore, it's possible both the Sep-Jun and Summer fields will hold data, but an individual pupil will only be counted under one or the other.

However, the summary's Course data section will continue to be based on the Course's Start Date and only the Sep-Jun OR Summer fields will be populated.

Mark Entry

TWebCE: Clarification: TWebCE was designed to create achievement records when you enter a mark for Report Period CI or CF, instead of having a "build achievement" process like the other regular day courses. Since the Compulsory Credit calculation function was only available in Core Trillium, we modified the printing of a CF or F Report Card to perform the Compulsory Credit calculation when the student's Report Card was generated in Report Launcher. Clients could also trigger the Compulsory Credit calculation through Transcript Information using the Calculate Credits menu option, by modifying one of the Marks or Credits fields (in Core Trillium) or by saving any change in School Admin's Transcript Information page.

As an enhancement to TWebCE, when a Final Mark is entered, additional processing now occurs to set the Eligible for Transcript flag. However, the school should still trigger the full Post Credit for the student to ensure that all compulsory calculations are done. In a future release we will incorporate School Admin's Compulsory Credit calculation into TWebCE to streamline this process.
