Other Programs: Supervised Alternative Learning (SAL)

In Student Maintenance, you've chosen the student you need to edit; hovered over Maintain Student and chosen Other Programs. The display at right defaults to Supervised Alternative Learning (SAL).

Security

Access to the screen is controlled by stupro_student_other_programs and access to the accordion bar is controlled by stumnt_sal_program.

Field Descriptors

SAL Programs
First Year in Sal Program	The drop-down list is populated with the current and four past school years.
At Another Board	Select this box if the SAL Program is at a different school board.
Select/Deselect	The checkboxes are visible if you have update privileges.
*Program	The values in the drop-down list are Blank, SAL, and SAL + Day School Credits. Blank is the default. The field is mandatory.
*Start Date	Enter the Start Date of the SAL Program. The first date of the current school year is the default. The field is mandatory.
*End Date	Enter the End Date of the SAL Program. The last date of the current school year is the default. The field is mandatory .
Next Steps	The selections in the drop-down list are from the SAL Next Steps validation table where the Active flag is ON. Blank is the default value The field is optional.
Command Buttons
Save	Saves all new and modified data to the database.
Add	Adds an empty row to SAL Programs table and the SAL Components table if you have update privileges.
Delete	Deletes the selected row from the SAL Programs table and the SAL Components table if you have update privileges.
SAL Components
Select/Deselect	The checkboxes are visible if you have update privileges.
*Component	The selections in the drop-down list are from the SAL Components vaiidation table where the Active flag is ON. Blank is the default value The field is mandatory
*Start Date	Enter the Start Date of the Component The first date of the current school year is the default. The field is mandatory
*End Date	Enter the End Date of the Component. The last date of the current school year is the default. The field is mandatory
Command Buttons
Save	Saves all new and modified data to the database.
