Continuing Education: Preferences

Overview 

In Continuing Education, you've chosen Preferences, the right-most tab card in the strip at the top of the page.

The default display is Colour Scheme, which allows you to set one of the following colors for your – and only your -- login: Default (shades of purple), Blue, Green, and Gravel.

A Board login is required to edit the system choices under BoardConfiguration; Application Deployment information, System Environment variables, Application Information, and Other Configuration Details. Consult the PowerSchool Community webpages.

Final Mark/Earned Credit Calculation

Choices made here apply to all users.

Final Mark Calculation

Allow Final Mark to be autocalculated – Controls the display of the Calculate button on the Lesson / Project Completion page. Select this box to show the button and allow users to calculate a student’s Final Mark. Clear the box to hide the button and force users to manually enter a Final Mark.

Percent of mark from lessons/units (divided evenly) – Determines the amount of the students’ Final Mark taken from their lesson or unit marks. It is used in conjunction with the value in the Percentage of mark from exam mark field when using the Calculate button to calculate Final Marks.

Percent of mark from exam mark – Determines the amount of the students’ Final Mark taken from their Exam Mark.

Earned Credit Calculation

Allow credit to be granted with a failing lesson/unit mark - Determines whether students should receive credit for a Course if they received a failing Mark in any lesson or unit in the Course.

Allow credit to be granted with a mark of 'I' for a lesson/unit: –  Determines whether students should receive credit for a Course if they received a mark of “I” in any lesson or unit in the Course.

Allow credit to be granted with a failing exam mark –  Determines whether students should receive credit for a Course if they received a failing Exam Mark for the Course.
