Continuing Education: 3 Enrollment Registers

In Continuing Education, hover over Report, the fourth of the six top-level tab cards. Then choose one of these:

  • Register of Enrolment in Correspondence/Self Study/E-learning Courses
  • Independent Study and e-Learning Register for Day School Pupils
  • Register of Enrolment in the Literacy/Numeracy Program

Register of Enrolment in Correspondence/Self Study/E-learning Courses

Information shown on the Register of Enrolment in Correspondence/Self Study/E-learning Courses can be drawn from three areas:

  • Correspondence courses bought from the Independent Learning Centre;
  • Correspondence courses prepared by your Board;
  • E-learning courses in the ConEd schools.
  1. Select the desired Courses from one or more of the selection areas. Note that the checkboxes at the top of the checkbox columns can be used to Select and De-select all Courses in an area at once
  2. Click Build Report. The report will open as an Adobe PDF document that can be saved and/or printed.
  3. Close the report window when you have finished with the report.

Note: Lessons that have been flagged as completed elsewhere do not show on the registers as having been completed

Note 2: In the spring of 2018 (when we released v. 5.40.20), the Ontario Ministry of Education clarified that the population of the Sep-Jun and Summer fields on the Correspondence/Self Study register's Pupil summary and detail pages should be based on the Student's Start Date in the Course, not the Start Date for the Course/Class. Therefore, it's possible that both the Sep-Jun and Summer fields will hold data, but an individual student will only be counted under one or the other. However, the Summary's Course data section will continue to be based on the Course's Start Date, and only the Sep-Jun OR Summer fields will be populated.

Note 3: Beginning with v. 5.40.20, we modified the Register to exclude Part Time students' lessons when the student is taking the same Course at any day school within the Board at the same time. In this scenario, the number of funded lessons for the student will be displayed as zero on the Register. Courses are compared using five characters of the Course Code.

Independent Study and e-Learning Register for Day School Pupils

The Independent Study and e-Learning Register for Day School Pupils Report provides information about students who are day school students on the part-time register and taking Independent Study courses, or are on the IS register and taking e-learning courses (i.e. e-Learning or e-Learning (LMS)).

Note: Lessons that have been flagged as completed elsewhere do not show on the registers as having been completed.

Note: In the spring of 2018 (when we released v. 5.40.20), the Ministry has clarified that the population of the Sep-Jun and Summer fields on the Literacy/Numeracy for Parents Register's Pupil summary and detail pages should be based on the Parent's Start Date in the Course, not the Start Date for the Course/Class. Therefore, it's possible both the Sep-Jun and Summer fields will hold data, but an individual pupil will only be counted under one or the other. However, the Summary's Course data section will continue to be based on the Course's Start Date and only the Sep-Jun OR Summer fields will be populated.
