Manage Contact Custom Address Structure

The contact address plays a pivotal role in student forms and contact information collection. Before the release of 24.9.0.0, Enrollment Express/Ecollect Forms contact elements enforce the use of a North American address structure: Street (Address Line 1), Apt / Unit, City, State, and Zip. International schools or districts must collect and store address data in regionally applicable formats, but cannot currently collect the address data in the required format.

Manage Contact Custom Address Structure configuration allows school and district administrators to customize the contact address structure within Enrollment Express/Ecollect Forms. When the default option for Contact Address Structure is selected, it continues the current behavior of collecting Contact Addresses in the Contact Card. These addresses will be stored in the PowerSchool SIS PersonAdress Schema per existing behavior. When the custom option is enabled, district administrators can customize the contact address structure so that responders see the new address structure when they try to edit or add a new address within the contact element for any form. The updated address will be stored in the respective fields configured upon contact match and delivery within PowerSchool SIS PersonAdress Schema.

With this configuration, school and district administrators can define up to 13 custom address components, each with customizable labels and translations. This configuration is inherited by all contact elements across all forms, eliminating the need for repetitive setup. Additionally, the feature supports soft match, exact match, and exclusion options for address components while performing the contact match using default contact match logic that uses contact information such as First Name, Last Name, Address Line 1, Email, and Phone Number. The list of excluded fields includes: PersonAddressID, WhenCreated, WhenModified, WhoCreated, WhoModified, geocodeLatitude, and geoCodeLongitude.

With this configuration enabled, parents will see the new address structure when they edit or add a new address within the contact element for any form. Administrators can approve the submitted form using the Review Contacts Modal (applicable within the Duplicate Contact Prevention feature). The updated address will be stored in the respective PersonAddress column within PowerSchool Schema fields configured upon contact match and delivery.

This feature requires the Duplicate Contact Prevention feature, which is generally available with the 25.9.0.0 release.

This feature can be used in conjunction with Manage Contact Match Criteria for ID-based contact matches.
