Resume New in Naviance Student

The new Resume tool, tied directly to Portfolio, lets you select existing Portfolio entries to create your resume. You can also add content directly to the resume or add new portfolio entries, and then download or save your custom resume.

Parents and guardians with a Naviance Student account can review and download their student’s resume.

Create a resume

  1. Select About Me, and then choose Resume.

  2. Add content to your resume.

    • Enter Summary and Education information. Use the rich text tools to change the font size, add a link, and more.

    • If you’ve already added portfolio entries, click an entry to add it to your resume. Alternatively, click an entry to remove it from your resume. If the field does not display the portfolio entry you want to add, select Show all entries for a complete list.

    • Add new entries for work experience, extracurriculars, and achievements and relate capabilities to the entry.

  3. Click Save, and then click Save again.

  4. Optionally, click Preview and download to download the resume to your web browser.

Customize the resume

  • Update your personal information.

    1. Click the pencil icon and update the Email or Mobile Phone.

    2. Click Save.

Changes to your email or phone number in your resume or Portfolio are applied to both. The changes are not applied to your Naviance Student account.

  • Rename a resume section.

    1. Select actions for the corresponding section and choose Rename.

    2. Enter a new section title and click Save.

  • Reorder resume sections.

    1. Select actions for the section to move and choose Move up or Move down.

  • Change the text color and font.

    1. Click Preview and download.

    2. Choose a Color or Font and click Download.
