New Feature

Product Area

Description

Sibling Verification

The Submission Workspace Matching feature is extended to support up to 3 siblings (that is, the non-primary students within a submission record), totaling a maximum of 4 students per submission.

Within the Submission Workspace Matching feature’s “pending match” view, initiating the matching process on a submission record performs matching for each student present within the submission, resulting in a match orb per present student. The match orb colors correlate to each student’s match status: grey is NoMatch, yellow is PotentialMatches, and green is Matched; no orb will be present if the status is UnMatched (that is, matching has not yet been performed) or empty (that is, the student is not present). Selecting a match orb opens the match window, allowing for the manual selection of a potential match.

The following properties can be included in views or referenced in rules:

  • PROP:SWMMatchStatus - already existed; contains the match status of the primary student

  • PROP:SWMMatchStatusSibling1 - contains the match status of sibling 1

  • PROP:SWMMatchStatusSibling2 - contains the match status of sibling 2

  • PROP:SWMMatchStatusSibling3 - contains the match status of sibling 3

  • PROP:SWMAllStudentsMatched - contains 1 if the status of all students is either Matched, NoMatch, or empty; contains 0 if at least the status of one student is PotentialMatches or UnMatched

The movement of a submission record from the “pending match” view to the “post match” view is dependent on the view’s defined rule criteria.

Optionally, when siblings are matched, data from PowerSchool SIS can be written back to the submission record in Enrollment. The following PowerSchool SIS data is supported in this process: core Students table, 1-to-1 extensions off the Students table, and one-to-many extensions off the Students table.

Optionally, when siblings are matched or not matched, tags can automatically be applied to the submission record corresponding to the match result of each sibling.

Within the Submission Workspace Matching feature’s “post match” view, resetting the match resets the match status of each student and clears any data imported from PowerSchool SIS.

This feature is optional and is enabled and configured by PowerSchool Enrollment Support on a form-by-form basis.

Enhancements

Product Area

Description

Admin - Parent Account Email Address in Roster and Submission Workspaces

The PROP:UserAccountEmailAddress property is available in view and rule configuration in the Roster and Submission Workspaces. This property can be displayed within and exported from these workspaces.

This property displays the parent account email address associated with the roster and/or submission record.

  • If the form is Public, this will be empty.

  • If the form is Private, and the roster record is not yet linked to a parent account, this will be empty.

  • If the linked account is a cell phone-based account, this will be empty.

  • If the linked account is in the PendingEmailVerification status due to the Parent Account Email Verification feature, this will indicate the account email is pending verification. For example, email@test.com (pending verification).

Admin - Enhanced Match Criteria Supported in Submission Workspace Matching

The Submission Workspace Matching feature supports the Enhanced Match Criteria for student matching, including the optional “Auto-Match to Student when One Exact Match Found” sub-functionality within Enhanced Match Criteria.

First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth are mandatory to perform matching using Enhanced Match Criteria. If any of these values are not present, upon attempting to locate a match, the record is skipped, no match is found, and the error report indicates the reason.

This enhancement can be used in conjunction with the Sibling Verification feature.

This functionality is optional and is enabled by PowerSchool Enrollment Support on a form-by-form basis.

Admin - Match Siblings Using Student Number and Birth Date in Submission Workspace Matching

The Submission Workspace Matching feature supports matching siblings (that is, the non-primary students within a submission record) using Student Number and Date of Birth. When this new option is enabled, a sibling will be matched if there is exactly one active or pre-registered student in PowerSchool SIS with an exact match on Student Number (Students.Student_Number) and an exact match on Date of Birth (Students.DOB).

This enhancement is used in conjunction with the Sibling Verification feature.

This functionality is optional and is enabled by PowerSchool Enrollment Support on a form-by-form basis.

Resolved Issue

Description

Admin - SFTP Scheduled Job Socket Exception Connection Failures

SFTP-based scheduled jobs were failing intermittently due to socket exception connection-related issues between PowerSchool Enrollment and the SFTP server(s). This has been resolved with a wait-and-retry process being implemented upon a socket exception connection failure.
