Email Spoofing Prevention

Due to Gmail’s and Yahoo’s upcoming sender requirement changes coming into effect on February 1, 2024, the ability to customize and spoof the From address for emails sent by Enrollment is disabled.

The email template configuration screens within Enrollment still display the customized From address and still allow customization, but regardless of how the From address is configured in the template all emails sent from Enrollment are sent from noreplyenrollment@powerschool.com (PowerSchool Enrollment), with the exception of schoolrecs related emails which are sent from support@schoolrecs.com (schoolrecs.com Support).

If a Reply To address is defined in a template, that customized Reply To address is still used. If a Reply To address is not defined in a template, and if the customized From address does not use the powerschool.com domain, that customized From address is used as the Reply To address.

In a future release, we may improve the transparency of this behavior to the user and/or reintroduce the ability to spoof the From address after proper DMARC support is in place.
