PowerSchool Enrollment version 22.9.0.0 is available as of 9/16/2022.

New Feature

FeatureDescription

Seat Acceptance Deadlines

The Seat Acceptance Deadlines feature is a new School Choice (lottery) feature that sets a deadline date for parents to either accept or decline a seated choice for their student. Once the deadline has passed, if the parent has not chosen to accept or decline the seat, the record is automatically declined. This allows administrators to have the deadline set by and enforced by the product, removing the burden placed on them to keep track of deadlines outside of Enrollment.

The Seat Acceptance Deadline feature sets deadlines on a choice-by-choice basis. The deadline itself is set based on the date the result is communicated to the parent, using either the Results Available Email Template, the Results Updated Email Template, or the Seated Letter template, and a preset deadline timeframe. This timeframe is a customizable integer that can be configured by PowerSchool Support.

The Seat Acceptance Deadline feature allows for Seat Acceptance Reminder Emails to be automatically sent out to parents periodically. The reminder notification days can be customized for the lottery by PowerSchool Support.

Once a set deadline has passed for a choice, that seat is automatically declined and the student’s record is moved to either the Waitlist or Removed List, based on the Seat Acceptance Deadline configuration.

Upcoming deadlines can be displayed in a new section on the School Choice workspace main landing page. If a choice has a deadline date that occurs within the configured timeframe, its Seating Unit will be accessible from this section.

To enable the Seat Acceptance Deadline feature, your School Choice Lottery must also have the Seat Acceptance and Result Notification & Decision Response features enabled.

Configuration for the Seat Acceptance Deadline feature must be completed by PowerSchool Enrollment Support.

eSchoolPLUS Document Attach Naming Conventions

Documents sent to eSchoolPLUS via API delivery can have custom naming conventions assigned per document field. Naming conventions can be used for both Automatic and Manual document matching.

PowerSchool SIS Document Attach Naming Conventions

Documents sent to PowerSchool SIS via API delivery can have custom naming conventions assigned per document field. These names can be standard text sent for all files and student records or can utilize data from other form fields to create a custom name for individual files and student records. Naming conventions can be used for both Automatic and Manual document matching.

Document naming conventions must be configured by PowerSchool Enrollment Support.

School Choice Workspace Students Export Improvements

Column names for the Students Export in the School Choice Workspace now include the full Seating Unit level name as well as text indicating which level and list is being referenced. These columns will only display if they are appropriate for the Seating Unit, meaning Level 2 and Level 3 columns will only display in the file if they are present in the Workspace.

Additionally, a new column was added after the Seated Number column for the record’s Seated Status. The column indicates the current status of the student’s choice, either Pending Eligibility, Offered, or Accepted.
