Budget Allocations

Allocations Overview

The budget displays a running total of:

  • funds allocated by your district

  • funds plans planned thus far

  • funds remaining to be planned.

In each budget, the total remaining also appears for each allocation. After selecting an allocation, the following details are displayed:

  • Allocation name

  • Total amount allocated

  • Amounts planned

  • Remaining

If you over-plan beyond the allocated amount, the amount remaining is negative and displayed in red.

How to Lock Allocations

Budget Architects can lock allocations, as needed. Schools often receive resources that they do not have discretion over, but these allocations and their related expenses can still be visible to Budget Builders.

  1. Select the allocation.

  2. Select Edit allocation.

  3. Select the checkmark to lock the allocation.

  4. Select Save Changes.

Only Budget Architects can lock allocations. Budget Builders can view the allocation and its associated expenses, but cannot plan or make changes. For further details on permissions, visit the permissions in Budget page.
