Ecollect Forms/Enrollment Express

PowerSchool Ecollect Forms/Enrollment Express version is available as of 3/19/2023.

The Ecollect Forms/Enrollment Express release and above includes important jQuery UI library updates. PowerSchool highly recommends all customers upgrade their Ecollect Forms and Enrollment Express plugins to version or above as soon as possible. Failing to upgrade Ecollect Forms and Enrollment Express before upgrading to an upcoming PowerSchool SIS release will result in some features not functioning correctly.

Admin – Hide School Preference element on Pre-Registration forms from parents

Previously, parents always had access to the School Preference form element by default. Administrators can now set the element permissions in the Form Builder to hide it from the parents.

When the administrator toggles the element’s Parents setting to restrict access:

  • They must select a default school for all submissions on the form.

  • The parent has no access to the School Preference element.

  • The Min and Max selections on the School Preference element are set to 1 by default and disabled so that the user cannot change them.

At the time of approval, administrators access the student data to add the school preference and proceed with approval. A record cannot be approved or rejected without the School Preference data.

To avoid unexpected form behavior, PowerSchool recommends resolving all pending form submissions before updating the form’s School Preference element permissions in the Form Builder.

Admin/Parent/Teacher – Form status improvements

The user interface of the Form List page on the Admin, Teacher, and Parent portals has been improved with updated form status labels and icons.

Updates include:

  • Form status “Empty” is now called “Not Started.”

  • Form status “Pending” is now called “Pending Review.”

  • A new form status called “Started” was added. The status appears after a user clicks Save for Later on the form and is tied to the user’s login.

  • New icons reflecting the form status.

Form status labels “Approved,” “Rejected,” and “Submitted” remain unchanged.

Note that the changes only affect the interface, not the workflow itself.

Admin – Resend Email on pre-registration submission not working correctly

When the administrator attempted to resend an email for a SIS pre-registration submission, nothing happened after they clicked the Resend Email button. This issue was resolved.


Removed Features/Future Deprecation




Deprecation of Cloud Pre-Registration Process

The now legacy Pre-Registration process in the Cloud Enrollment portal is being deprecated. Starting July 1, 2022, all Pre-Registration forms in the Cloud Enrollment portal will only support the current year (i.e., 2022-2023) as the entry year, preventing the use of the Cloud Pre-Registration process for 2023-2024 and beyond. Additionally, the Cloud Enrollment portal itself will be fully deprecated and taken offline on June 30, 2023.  Any Cloud Pre-Registration data you wish to transfer to PowerSchool SIS should be transferred before this date.

For the 2023-2024 Pre-Registration season, which typically starts February-April 2023, the new Pre-Registration process in PowerSchool SIS must be used.
