Configure PowerSchool WS-Trust Bridge

Using the PowerSchool WS-Trust Bridge Setup page, you can configure the bridge settings needed to establish a successful connection between your SAML Service Provider and your ADFS.

  1. Navigate to the Plugin Configuration page.
  2. Click PowerSchool WS-Trust Bridge, and then WS-Trust Bridge.
  3. On the PowerSchool WS-Trust Bridge Setup page, enter information as needed:

    Field

    Description

    Security Attribute Name

    The name of the ADFS claim. Claims are used for authorization purposes.

    Realm

    The URL used by PowerSchool to communicate with ADFS. PowerSchool WS-Trust Bridge plugin installation defaults the value to the External Access on the Global Server Settings page.

    Passive Address

    The URL of the ADFS.

    IDP Signing Cert

    The name of the certificate used to sign the SAML response. The certificate must be the same as the certificate used by ADFS.

    Encryption Cert

    The name of the certificate used to encrypt the security token. The certificate must be the same as the certificate used by ADFS.

    This field is optional.

  4. Click Save
