Security

Teachers can change Students passwords for Students within the Teacher portal when PowerSchool SIS is the IdP. This functionality is off by default and can be enabled using the Allow Teachers to Change Student Passwords When PowerSchool is the IdP setting under School Setup, then Miscellaneous.

Password changes made using this function are logged in the DBLog table with a code of Teacher Changed Student Password.

General	The following quality-of-life fixes have been made: When creating or editing a Stored Search the name value is required. Existing blank names will show as an underscore to allow users to edit the name. The PowerTeacher Pro Student Roster report will honor FLS on the Gender and Home_Phone fields. When adding a page or editing a title in Custom Page Management that resides in the facultypages or studentpages folders it is no longer necessary to run the Rebuild Custom Page Links Special Operation. Custom Page Management no longer hangs when adding a file to an empty folder. Custom Page Management applies html highlighting to txt files. A Create New Page Fragment option has been added to Custom Page Management when right clicking a file to assist in creating page fragments. The Student Fee pages that perform a submit action now redirect back to the Students fee list on submit. PowerSchool Components

PowerSchool SIS comprises several software components, each versioned independently. Independent versioning allows for greater flexibility of component updates as new features and bug fixes become available. Some updates may include dependencies between components. These dependencies will be communicated and built into the component update installers to prevent PowerSchool SIS from being misconfigured.
