Attendance

The Bell Schedule Setup page has been updated to reflect if an invalid period is defined. As part of this change HTML popups that are created server side will indicate “Currently saved value not found in dropdown options. (xxxxx)” if the value currently defined on the record is not present in the dropdown as this represents potentially bad data.


Data Access Tag (DAT)Student Email, Global ID, and Race Codes (comma separated) values are now accessible using the following Data Access Tags (DAT). Learn more in episode 125 of the PowerSchool Insider.

End of YearThe validation mode of End of Year has been improved to provide more details:

  • The progress page will better indicate that the user is running End of Year in validation mode.
  • The following informational counts will be shown:
    • Students to Promote
    • Students to Skip a Grade
    • Students to Retain
    • Students to Demote
    • Students to Move (Not Graduated)
    • Students to Graduate

Library UpgradeThe Apache ActiveMQ library has been updated to version 5.16.5.0. Note: As part of this upgrade only the wrapper.log will be populated instead of the activemq.log.
ServerA user will be required to provide details when triggering a server restart from the user interface to capture the reasons for doing so.
Universal RosteringThe getClassesForTeacher OneRoster endpoint is now available in Universal Rostering.

  • Four additional Enterprise Reporting categories have been added, Counselors, Principals, Schedules, and Special Education.

SystemFollowing the Content Security Policy (CSP) changes made in the 22.7.0.0 release, these issues have been identified and resolved:
  • PowerSchool SIS no longer requires the use of an image server. References to an image server have been removed from the System Requirements documentation since PowerSchool 21.x.
  • The email links on various pages will now launch the client email application as expected.

Schema Update

A schema update failure for PSF-69026 occurs on startup. This error does not impact PowerSchool SIS functionality and will be addressed in a future release.


PowerSchool Components

PowerSchool SIS comprises several software components, each versioned independently. This allows for greater flexibility of component updates as new features and bug fixes become available. Some updates may include dependencies between components. These dependencies will be communicated and built into the component update installers to prevent PowerSchool SIS from being misconfigured. The following table identifies the version number for each PowerSchool SIS component in this release compared to the previous release:
