Self-Discovery Reference Guide.pdf

Learn more about yourself and be introduced to best-fit careers using the Self-Discovery Section. To access self-discovery tools in Naviance Student, select Self-Discovery from the main navigation bar and choose Self-Discovery Home or an assessment from the list.

Parents and guardians with Naviance Student accounts can review their student’s assessment results. They cannot complete or reset assessments on behalf of their students.

Self-Discovery Home

From the Self-Discovery Home page, access all assessments assigned to you by your school. Depending on the assessment status, you can:

Start an assessment.
Continue a previously started assessment.
View results of a completed assessment.
Retake all assessments except StrengthsExplorer®.

To translate all assessments except Career Key and StrengthsExplorer®, click the globe icon in the Naviance Student navigation menu, then select from over 75 languages.

AchieveWorks® Personality	Identify your personality type by choose scenarios that best represent how you behave in real life.	Takes approximately 15 minutes. Includes 36 scenarios.	Get your personality type, tips to achieve success, and best-fit career options.
AchieveWorks® Skills	Identify your skills and learn ways to develop them and other skills needed for careers.	Takes approximately 20 minutes. Includes 69 questions.	Get your current skill profiles and recommendations for developing your skills.
Career Cluster Finder	Identify activities and school subjects that you like or dislike and personal qualities that you possess.	Takes approximately 20 minutes. Includes 108 questions.	Find out how well each of the 16 National Career Clusters fits your current interests and qualities.
Career Interest Profiler	Captures your interests to help identify your personality traits and suggests careers based on the US Department of Labor's data.	Takes about 15 minutes. Includes 60 questions.	Find out your personality traits according to the Holland Code and receive information about how your personality traits help with career exploration and planning. Review career recommendations based on your personality traits.
Career Key	Identify your traits, best-match work environments, and related careers by answering questions about your interests.	Takes approximately 10 minutes. Includes 25 questions.	Find out your personality traits according to the Holland Code and receive information on how those traits help with career exploration and planning.
StrengthsExplorer®	Uncover your talents and potential strengths.	Takes approximately 20 minutes. Includes 78 questions. You can only take StrengthsExplorer® once. You cannot retake this assessment.	Learn about your top three themes, review strategies for capitalizing on your success, and get a list of action items to complete so you can build on your strengths. Review best-fit career pathways.
