Appended Icons for External Hyperlinks in Family Portal

Hyperlinks in the Family Portal now include an icon indicating that the link will open in a new browser tab or window. Additionally, the aria-describedby attribute for the Logo and Help icons has been updated to read: opens in a new tab or window and has been localized for all supported languages. This enhancement improves visibility and readability for users with visual impairments and ensures compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

Permissions-Policy HTTP Header

The Admin Portal login page now features an identity-first login workflow. Users must enter their email address and select Continue to proceed to the password entry step. In this step, users input their password and select Sign In to access their account.

Additionally, on the password entry step, users can initiate the Forgot Password process or return to the email entry step to modify their email address.

The identity-first login workflow supports the school or district user single sign-on (SSO) account linking process. SSO authentication for school or district users remains unaffected by this update.

Autocomplete Attribute for System Pages

The Payment, Create Account, Forgot Password, Snapcode, and Parent Account Email Verification pages have had corresponding values provided for the autocomplete attribute for each applicable field. This enhancement improves accessibility by allowing the user’s browser to automatically fill in these fields.

Scheduled Job History Table Design Change

The Scheduled Job History page has been updated with the latest table design features, security, and options to streamline future implementations.

Parent - Hyperlink Color Contrast and Styling in Family Portal

The styling and contrast ratio of hyperlinks throughout the Family Portal have been adjusted to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, thus improving visibility and readability for users with visual impairments. This has been resolved.

Parent - Screen Reader Repeats Tooltip for Security Question

When a parent was on the Create Account page and used a screen reader for assistance, the security question tooltip would be re-read each time the security question dropdown was in focus. This has been resolved.

Parent - Accessible Attributes for School Locator Pins

The pin icons used by School Locator: Student’s Home and Zoned School, did not have an assigned aria-label, making it more difficult for parents using assistive technologies to complete the form. This has been resolved.

Parent - Accessibility for School Locator School Result’s HTML Structure

After interacting with School Locator, the School Results’ HTML was not structured correctly, making it more difficult for parents using assistive technology to navigate from item to item. This has been resolved.

Parent - Accessibility for Form Status on Summary Page

The green checkmark icons on a form’s Summary page did not have valid role attributes, making it more difficult to enable compatibility between different assistive technology types. This has been resolved.

Parent - Accessibility for Required Form Fields

Required form fields skipped during form completion did not have valid role attributes, making it more difficult to enable compatibility between different assistive technology types. This has been resolved.

Parent - Edit Form Button Excluded From Focus Order

When a form had Parent Submission Update enabled, the Edit Form button on the Submission Confirmation page was not included in the focus order, making it more difficult for parents using assistive technology to navigate the page. This has been resolved.
