Use Strategies to help achieve your budget planning Priorities. Each transaction can be assigned multiple strategies to help track spending patterns and priorities over the fiscal year. Strategies inherit types from the Priorities they are assigned to. If a Strategy has been assigned to a Priority with the type “Any”, then that Strategy can be assigned to a school, central office, or any type.
Create a Strategy

Select Configuration.

Select District Structure.

Select Strategies.
-
Select Create Strategy.

Enter your data in the provided form.

Types must be Central Office, School, or Any.

A priority must also be selected to create a strategy.

Select Proceed to Review.
-
Select Save and Confirm.
Upload Strategies
-
Select Configuration.
-
Select District Structure.
-
Select Strategies.
-
Select Upload Strategies.
-
Select Download CSV Template.
-
Fill out the template and select Upload.
-
Map fields as necessary and select Review and Confirm to continue.

Select Confirm and Save.
Edit Strategies
-
Select Configuration.
-
Select District Structure.
-
Select Strategies.
-
Choose a strategy and select the pencil icon.

Edit the strategy as necessary.

Select Confirm and Save.
Archive Strategies
-
Select Configuration.
-
Select District Structure.
-
Select Strategies.

On Active tab, navigate to the desired strategy and select the archive button.

Select Archive Strategy.
Restore Strategies

Select District Structure.
-
Select Strategies.
-
On Archive tab, navigate to the desired strategy and select the restore button.

Select Restore Strategy.
Delete Strategies

Select District Structure.
-
Select Strategies.
-
On Archive tab, navigate to the desired strategy and select the delete button.

Note: Only Strategies not associated with any transaction or proposal expense can be deleted.

Select Delete Strategy.
Assign Strategies

Select All Transactions.
-
Select a transaction.
-
Select Assign Strategies.
-
From the menu, choose the strategies.

Select Apply Changes.
Modify Transaction Strategies
Once a strategy is applied to a transaction, administrators can modify the associated strategies. To modify the strategies, follow the steps below:

Select All Transactions.

Select a transaction.
-
Navigate to the ellipsis.
-
Select Edit Strategies.
-
From the menu, modify the strategies.
-
Select Apply Changes.
Modify Proposal Expense Strategies
Once a strategy is applied to a proposal, administrators can modify the associated strategies. To modify the strategies, follow the steps below:

Select Future Planning.

Select Budget Proposals, and navigate to the draft Proposal that contains the associated expenses.

Navigate to the Personnel or Non-Personnel Expense tab inside of said proposal.

Next to the expense you’d like to edit, select the Pencil icon.

Modify the associated strategies.
-
Select Update Expense.
