Admin - Ecollect Translation Manager Plugin for system-defined translations *

Administrators can now add translations to all system-defined content such as form list tab header, form tab name, submit button, and so on using the Ecollect Translation Manager plugin.

These translations are supported across Parent/Student portal, Pre-Registration form, Teacher portal, and Administrator portal.

Administrators must perform the following steps to enable the Ecollect Translation Manager plugin:

• Download the Ecollect Translation Manager plugin and extract the content to view the files.

• Create a copy of the template property files to add translations and save the changes.

• Rename the property files based on Country and Language combinations.

• Install and enable the Ecollect Translation Manager plugin built with the newly added translation files.

Admin - Right to Left Language Orientation *

The Administrator and Teacher portals have been updated to support right-to-left (RTL) orientation. Interface elements, text alignment, and layout are now optimized for RTL. This is particularly beneficial for languages such as Arabic, ensuring a more inclusive and user-friendly experience for users.

Admin/Parent - Hijri Date Picker *

Hijri Date Picker is implemented to provide administrators and parents an option to view dates in both Gregorian and Hijri formats. This ensures greater inclusivity and better experience for non-English language users.

Admin - Improved Dynamic Translations *

Administrators can utilize the enhanced dynamic translation capabilities, including translations for column titles in the response list, collection table elements, user-entered error messages in custom data validation, and PASI elements.

Additionally, translations are supported for the description field within the PASI element.

Admin - Increased Name Field Length for Student and Contacts *

The character limits for the student and contact name fields have been increased. Name part fields (First Name, Middle Name, Last Name) have been increased to 100 characters resulting in a combined increase to 305 characters.

Users can now accommodate longer names without truncation, ensuring an accurate and complete representation of student and contact names within the system. It allows users to capture and display longer names accurately.

Admin/Parent - Enhanced Enrollment Express Parent Emails *

Administrators now have the capability to add translations to Enrollment Express Emails, enabling communication in various languages for Enrollment Emails, Rejection Emails, and Submission Emails. This is achieved by selecting a language using the Multi-language Settings icon and including translations for both the email body and subject within Enrollment Express Email Configuration.

Parents will receive translated emails for Enrollment, Rejection, and Submission Email - Parent, based on the specific locale used for submitting the pre-registration form.

Caveats:

• Email configurations cannot be saved without the default language email configuration being set up.

• Email variables such as $DistrictName, $StudentName, and so on, within the email body cannot be translated.

Admin/Teacher/Parent - Automatic Date and Time Localization Across Portals *

The date and time format displayed within the admin, teacher, and parent portal will automatically align with the PowerSchool SIS login locale enhancing the overall experience by allowing users to view dates and times in formats they are accustomed to, reducing confusion and improving usability.

Note that the SIS administrator must set the appropriate date and time format for various locales on the SIS Administrator portal's Manage Locales page.

Admin/Teacher/Parent - Display More Text *

The user experience for the Administrators and Teacher portal has been enhanced to accommodate longer texts when accessed using non-English languages. This improvement is necessary because, when translated into other languages, text length typically increases by an average of 30%.

Enhanced Multilingual Support using UTF-8 Format Implementation *

The UTF-8 format is implemented to provide seamless support for characters and language content from diverse linguistic backgrounds.

This enhancement enables input and storage of text and characters in various languages.

Admin - Pre-Registration Reports

The administrator encountered an error when editing a student record within the Pre-Registration Reports. This has been resolved.
