Counselor Role | Further enhancements were added to the counselor role, allowing admins to do complex mass assignments of counselors, including a mass replacement or searching for all students that do not have an assigned counselor. The mass assign screen now warns users when they will overwrite data, and the removal of a counselor role is blocked if there are students assigned to admins using that role. Student Groups | Teachers can create groups of students across their classes in PowerTeacher Pro and use that group to create assignments, run reports, and navigate their gradebook, providing teachers better visibility into student success. Currently, student groups are available only for production servers. After upgrading, contact Support if Student Groups is not available when logged into PowerTeacher Pro as a teacher. While PowerSchool SIS is getting this feature first, student groups have been designed for use in multiple PowerSchool products. In order to use this exciting capability, student groups are stored in the cloud and require an internet connection. PowerSchool Components
PowerSchool SIS comprises several software components, each versioned independently from one another. This allows for greater flexibility of component updates as new features and bug fixes become available. Some updates may include dependencies between components. These dependencies will be communicated and built into the component update installers to prevent PowerSchool SIS from being misconfigured.
